Fostering employment through 'Jobs Abu Dhabi'

The official government employment virtual marketplace to be launched
Abu Dhabi, UAE, October 12, 2008: Demonstrating its commitment to support the development of the business community in the Emirate, through the effective placement and matching of job opportunities, the Abu Dhabi Government announced plans to launch the Jobs Abu Dhabi virtual job market.

Jobs Abu Dhabi official launch is scheduled to take place on October 19th at the Najah career fair to be held at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Center and will create a forum for both employers and jobseekers to connect and fulfill their respective employment needs.  To serve employers from both the public and the private sector in Abu Dhabi as well as job seekers from around the globe, Jobs Abu Dhabi was developed leveraging global best practices in the arena of virtual job markets. As such, it will offer many features and functionalities to facilitate various job searching and position filling processes.  Some of these features include intelligent search criteria to facilitate instantaneous matching of job opportunities with qualified candidates, as well as mechanisms to ensure the currency of the job and CV postings.  The site will be made available in Arabic, English and French.

Abu Dhabi Systems & Information Committee- ADSIC -- the government entity spearheading the Jobs Abu Dhabi initiative - is currently in the process of onboarding all of the Abu Dhabi Government Entities to the site as well as interested private organizations. A comprehensive Jobs Abu Dhabi marketing campaign will follow through out the UAE as well as abroad.

This new initiative is inline with the visionary leadership of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and HH General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, in positioning ICT as a key enabler for national modernization across all sectors in the Emirate.

About ADSIC: 
The Abu Dhabi Systems & Information Committee (ADSIC) is a government entity created in October 2005 by Executive Council resolution No.33, issued by HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. ADSIC's role is to develop, drive and support various initiatives within the Government to transform government services in the Emirate. A key objective of this transformation is to establish a modern, efficient and citizen-centric e-Government platform to match the best in the world.

  • Improve Government performance and revise / simplify procedures in the departments, authorities and administrations of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi

  • Develop an overall holistic Government Service Optimization Strategy supported by implementation guidelines and recommendations and execute and manage the realization of this Strategy
