Arabtec wins Mudon contract

Dubai Properties has awarded a Dh550 million contract for its Mudon general residential apartments project to Arabtec ConstructionArabtec ConstructionLoading..., a subsidiary of Arabtec Holding.

The contract requires ArabtecArabtecLoading... to carry out the construction works of 12 five-storey residential buildings within the Mudon development. The major contract will be executed over the next 24 months.

ArabtecArabtecLoading... has already begun preparing the contruction project site, which is located behind the Polo Club on Al Qudra Road, in order to ensure that the work is completed on schedule.

Riad Kamal, Chief Executive Officer of Arabtec Holding, said: "This contract with Dubai Properties holds great significance for us in terms of consolidating our relationship with the company for whom we have delivered in the past a large number of projects. We are confident that there will be further co-operation with Dubai Properties in the future, being one of the largest developers in the region.

"Arabtec ConstructionArabtec ConstructionLoading... will always strive to serve Dubai Properties and maintain strong ties with it by delivering quality work on time for its many projects," he added.

Arabtec Holding, formerly known as Arab Technical Construction Company, was formed in 2004 to invest in the contracting sector.

The company is behind the iconic Burj Dubai. It was also the contractor for some of the well-know projects in the emirate, including the Jumeirah Beach Residences, Al Mazaya Sky Gardens and Emirates Hills.
