Dh33m Dolphinarium project ready for action

DUBAI -- Get ready to witness some great stunts performed by Dolphins this summer.
has announced that the Dh33-million Dolphinarium Project at Creekside Park is almost complete and will be opened this summer. "This facility will include a water circus show, dolphin therapy, dolphin sighting excursions and lectures, among others," said Husssain Nasser Lootah, Acting Director-General of Dubai MunicipalityDubai Municipality.
The civic body has handed over the project to Royal Segrex on a BOT (Build, Operate, Transfer) basis for a period of 20 years.
The 4,900-square-metre dolphinarium will offer visitors the chance to enjoy the highly-skilled and choreographed performances of dolphins and sea lions.
In addition, it will have a Marine Mammal Education Centre led by a team of marine mammal scientists and dolphin specialists. The centre shall offer various lectures and shows of these intelligent mammals.
