Climate Control Middle East hosts first standalone HVACR event in the region

Press Release

27 February 2008
Inaugural event to focus on Green Buildings and sustainability

Dubai, UAE - CPI Industry, the publishers of leading industry publications, Climate Control Middle East, MEGAWHAT, The Big Project and H2O, has announced that it is hosting its first HVACR conference and networking event in the Middle East. This dedicated HVACR event, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Dubai from 28 to 30 April 2008, is a combination of technical sessions, panel discussions, display booths, special one-on-one networking sessions and a Human Resources track.

B Surendar, Editorial Director of CPI-Industry, said, "Climate Control Middle East is about more than promoting energy-efficiency, IAQ and district cooling. It is about people and companies in the industry and a sharing of their concerns, ideas and perceptions. It is about community building and a sense of fraternity. We feel that while the general industry trade shows and conferences have its place, it is important for a rapidly developing and focused industry sector like HVACR to have a dedicated networking and conference platform."

Nicknamed C3 (www.ccube.org), The Climate Control Conference has a strong line-up of topics for its technical sessions and panel discussions on topics like IAQ/contamination challenges in hospitals, IP/Net-based control systems, and load estimates in District Cooling. The event's networking segment will see pre-scheduled meetings set up between leading international HVACR vendors and around 100 VIP decision-makers from key target segments and users of HVACR products and solutions, including property developers, consultants, contractors, engineers, architects and procurement heads of hotels, hospitals and municipalities.

"These VIP decision-makers are already reading our magazine and know us," said Frédéric Paillé, Associate Publisher and Managing Director of CPI Industry. "The networking sessions will help these busy decision-makers make full use of their visit to the event with pre-defined and scheduled meetings. They will be in a position to meet those that they want to meet, at a time convenient to them. This is the clear value we offer the industry through this event."

The event enjoys the support of the industry. Johnson Controls is the platinum sponsor, while Faisal Jassim Trading Co and TAS Middle East are silver sponsors. Siemens, Greenheck and SWEGON spearhead the "Green Bazaar" on the last day of the event. Green Bazaar will be focused on all Green Building technologies and services. A dedicated workshop on Green Buildings is another highlight of the last day. The Emirates Green Building Council is the Green/Sustainability Advocate of the workshop.

While the display area is open to anyone interested in the HVACR industry, the conference and networking areas are by invitation-only and for pre-qualified attendees. The event will also host a Human Resources track that is aimed at linking HVACR companies that are looking to fill vacancies to potential candidates for employment. Candidates will be pre-screened for the event.
