SHARJAH -- As part of its efforts to provide the public easy access to its services, Sharjah MunicipalitySharjah MunicipalityLoading... in coordination with Sharjah Electricity and Water AuthoritySharjah Electricity and Water AuthorityLoading... has opened three new offices in the emirate for endorsing lease contracts.

Lease contract offices have been set up in the Consumer Services Centres of Sharjah Electricity and Water AuthoritySharjah Electricity and Water AuthorityLoading... (SewaSewaLoading...) located in Al Qasimiya, Al Nasseriya and Al Muraijah.

Speaking to Khaleej Times, Dr Salah Al Haj, Director-General of Sharjah MunicipalitySharjah MunicipalityLoading..., said the civic body is always keen to provide the best of the services to the public.

The move would help residents of these areas to complete formalities of leasing residential and commercial units at their doorstep instead of travelling all the way to the main office of the municipality.

Fahad bin Shuhail, head of the Consumer Protection Section, said that the aim is to reduce the volume of work at the municipality's main office and to bring municipality's services to the residential areas.

The municipality will launch similar offices in residential, commercial and industrial areas to make it easy for the public to get their lease contracts endorsed.

Bin Shuhail said rapid development in terms of constructions and increase in the population of Sharjah have prompted us to look for practical solutions that would be of benefit to the residents of the emirate.

The municipality's branches launched recently are also prepared to provide lease contracting services.

Residents need not go to the main office to complete formalities but can do so at the nearest branch or SewaSewaLoading... offices.
