Iran: Tondar 90 sedan mass production to begin in June

TEHRAN - Iran's major automakers, Iran KhodroIran Khodro
, Renault Pars, and SAIPASAIPA, are removing the remaining problems facing to mass-produce their joint product Tondar 90 sedan in June, Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) said here Friday. Iran KhodroIran Khodro is planning to boost its production from 1,850 Tondars in June to 8,500 in March 2008, it added.
The company has announced that it will supply 71,000 of the budget car in the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2007).
Only in one week, Iran KhodroIran Khodro and SAIPASAIPA sold 100,000 of the passenger car in advance, of which over 70 percent was E2 model.
