Holidays for Eid Al Adha and UAE National Day announced from 26th November to 3rd December

Abu Dhabi, Nov 18th, 2009 (WAM): Chairman of the Federal Human Resources Authority and Minister of Education HE Humaid Obeid Al Qatami announced today that as per directives from President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan the holidays for Eid Al Adha and the UAE National Day will be from 26th November until 3rd December for all ministries and other federal authorities and institutions.

The minister said on this occasion, "I am honored to extend the deepest appreciation and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his directives for combining Eid Al Adha and the National Day holidays together, as an expression highlighting the importance of these two sublime occasions.

"It reflected the feelings of His Highness and the people alike about the importance of these two joyous occasions and proved his continuous effort to deepen the feelings of happiness and joy among his people and share with them the celebrations in such a way that translates the magnificence of cohesion between the people and the leadership", he added.

Qatami continued: "It is also a pleasure for us to offer our profound congratulations and blessings to His Highness the President, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of emirates. We also felicitate the people of the United Arab Emirates and the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nations on these occasions and ask Almighty God to bless them with health, wellness and happiness".
