No speed changes in radars at highways: Abu Dhabi Traffic

Abu Dhabi, Aug. 11th, 2009 (WAM)--The Traffic Engineering and Roads' Safety Section at the Traffic and Patrols Department of Abu Dhabi Police, has scotched the rumours being circulated by SMS and Blackberry that the speed changes have been effected in the radars at highways.Col. Engineer Hussein Ahmed Al Harethi, director of the section, said that the SMS messages being circulated by some people, particularly the youth, are baseless, adding that Abu Dhabi police exercise transparency and announce any new traffic rules.He called on public not to believe information being disseminated by unofficial sources, adding that public could contact the traffic police to verify any information.
