Ajman Free Zone launches strategic plan

Ajman, 2nd June 2009 (WAM) -- H. H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, attended today the launch of the new strategic plan for Ajman Free Zone Authority(AFZA) for 2010-2014.Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuami, Chairman of AFZA, said the planwould constitute a qualitative addition to make the AFZA a real economic powerhouse underpinning the emirate's economy and that of the UAE as a whole.''The AFZA has become one of the most local and international attractive economic destinations for investors, hosting over 4000 companies,''he added.''The new strategic plan was inspired by a vision that seeks to create an attractive investment environment within a national sustainable economyand commitment to an economic development that adopts the international best practices, fosters national cadres and attracts more investors,''he explained.''As the world is today facing rapid economic changes at unprecedented rates, the plan has set out its objectives to address these transformations,' he said.
