Khalifa Foundation plans to set up vocational education centre in Bahrain

Abu Dhabi, 23rd April 2009 (WAM) -- Executive Director of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charity Foundation Mohammed Al Khoury received today HushamAl Khalifa, Undersecretary of Bahraini Ministry of Education for Resources and Services.The meeting reviewed a Foundation plan to establish a vocational educational and training institute in Bahrain.The Bahraini official said the centre could be built in the southern regionof Bahrain as this part badly needs such kind of education.Khoury said the new centre would adopt internationally recognised programmes that qualify trainees to meet demand of the labour market.''We will remove all obstacles to ensure success of this project,''he said, adding that vocational education is one of the top priorities of the Foundation's strategy.
