DC World signs training agreement with Senegal

Dubai: Dubai Customs WorldDubai Customs World
(DC WorldDC World
), a Dubai World subsidiary, has signed an agreement with the customs administration of Senegal to develop the functioning of the customs department, improve the management and provision of systems for stock control and statistical data.
The agreement also includes providing practical training in Dubai for customs personnel.
DC WorldDC World
will help the Customs Administration of Senegal receive data on goods exported from Dubai in order to check fraud and counterfeiting. A DC WorldDC World
delegation headed by Ahmad Khalaf Al Merri, DC WorldDC World
director recently visited Senegal and signed the agreement. The delegation comprised Butti Hassan, marketing manager and Alka Thakur, IT development manager.
The delegation also met Abdullah Wad, President of the Republic of Senegal, and a number of Senegalese officials, including Armand Nanga, director general of the customs administration.
Al Merri said: "The talks we had with the president and other officials and managers helped us to get a good idea about the systems and procedures adopted by Senegal's customs. This will help us develop the systems and procedures required as per the agreement."
