Job market program kicks off
JEDDAH: Emaar Economic City (EEC) , the company developing King Abdullah Economic City in Rabigh, north of Jeddah, has announced the launch of its "Job Market Foundation Program" in partnership with the College of Business Administration (CBA).The 10-week program aims to train and develop high school graduates to better their chances in an increasingly demanding job market. The program comes as part of EEC 's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to train Saudi youth. The current program targets the youth of Rabigh and has enrolled 304 students.
According to the initial agreement signed by Fahd Al-Rasheed, CEO and managing director of EEC , and CBA Trustees Council Chairman Dr. Abdullah Dahlan, both parties evenly shared the program's cost.
" EEC is translating its reading of the job market requirements into its own CSR priorities," he added.
Dahlan highlighted CBA's vision that relies on filling the gap between actual market needs and output of college programs to ensure graduates are equipped with the right tools and skills to succeed in the local and international markets.
