Emaar, the Economic City partners with CBA to Train 400 Students
- Part of KAEC's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to train and develop more than 5000 local talents.- Primary acceptance for applicants from Rabigh
According to the agreement signed by Mr Fahd Al Rasheed, Board Member and Chief Executive Officer, Emaar.E.C , and Dr Abdullah Dahlan, Trustees Council Chairman, CBA, both parties will mutually sponsor the training of the 400 students.
Mr Fahd Al Rasheed said: "This partnership with CBA comes as part of Emaar.E.C 's Corporate Social Responsibility as it aims to enhance the social and economic lives of all segments of society, and to open more doors for employment through a variety of socio economic initiatives."
Al Rasheed added: " Emaar.E.C is translating its reading of the job market requirements into its own CSR priorities."
Dr Abdullah Dahlan said: "The partnership with Emaar.E.C reflects the importance of corporation between all players in the private sector for the goal of the development of our youth to become productive human resources in a modern economy."
Dr Dahlan highlighted CBA's vision that relies on filling the gap between actual market needs and outputs of college programs, to ensure graduates are equipped with the right tools and skills to succeed in the local and international market. He also expressed CBA's interest in building a media college at King Abdullah Economic City in the near future.
The 400 selected potential students will be divided into two groups of 200. Each group will undertake a training course of 10 weeks including English (emphasis on Business language), Computers skills, Management Principles, Personal and Communication Skills, Accounting and Finance Principles. The agreement of training 400 high school graduates comes as part of Emaar.E.C 's CSR commitment towards training and developing more than 5000 Saudi local talents.
KAEC is spread over 168 million sq m on the Red Sea coast and has six key components: The Sea Port, Industrial Valley, Central Business District, Educational Zone, Residential Communities and Resort Zone. When completed in phases, the mega-project has the potential to create around 1 million jobs and will be home to over 2 million people.
