BMI: Middle East and Africa Automotives (Apr-12)
18 Apr 2012 (12 Pages)
|
Abstract
Two months into 2012 and BMI's call of the possible outperforming and underperforming markets in the global autos industry this year is already taking shape . The better-than expected performance of the US and Japan so far falls in line with BMI's expectations of these markets being the outperformers in the mature autos markets category. Meanwhile, the poor performance of Brazil, China and Turkey confirms our view of the impending risks to some of the key emerging markets. On a global level, the plunging car sales in core Western Europe are set to make the eurozone a significant underperformer, despite strong sales growth in Eastern Europe.
