Emaar Middle EastEmaar Middle East plans to develop Al Khobar Lakes, a mixed-use development located near Al Khobar City, 43 km away from King Fahd International Airport.
The project will have an area over of 2.6 million sq.m. and will include over 9 villages with more than 2,000 villas, 6 lakes with an area of 80,000 sq.m., 104,208 sq.m. for parks and green areas, 95,000 sq.m. for retail center, 11 mosques,2 educational facilities, a shopping center, 2 community centers, and healthcare facilities.
Al Khobar Lakes will be developed in phases. Phase I will consist of 9 villages, phase 2 will consist of 40 villas and the scope for the other phases will be revealed later..
Radicon Gulf Consult is the engineering consultant and Saudi Diyar Consultants is the design consultant. |

In September 2008, 3 construction contracts (including MEP works) for phase 1 were awarded to Al Jabriyah Company, Building Construction Company (BCC), and Gulf Elite.
In May 2008, the eastern province municipality approved the master plan proposal for phase I of the project. |
