| Background |
Qatar Liquefied Gas CompanyQatar Liquefied Gas Company (Qatargas 1Qatargas 1 ) plans to develop a pre-treatment Acid Gas Removal Unit (AGRU) and Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU) in Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar. The project aims at maintaining the current LNG capacity of 10 million t/y until 2030. The project includes the construction of 1 AGRU next to the three already existing AGRU's, and 1 SRU next to the three already existing SRU's, which will reduce the level of sulphuric acid in the feed gas; drilling wells and upgrading existing onshore and offshore facilities. The LNG produced will be delivered to customers in Japan and Spain. AdvAmine MEDA Process Technology is the technology provider for the AGRU's. KTI Corporation is the technology providers for the SRU's. The JV of Chiyoda CorporationChiyoda Corporation and TechnipTechnip is the FEED study consultant. |
