The project will have a capacity of 50,000 cu.m./d of sewage and will serve 75,000 homes and businesses on 12,500 plots of land.
Treated water might be used for irrigation and landscaping.

At the end of February 2009, the project was completed.
In October 2008, the project was in the final stages of execution and commissioning was in progress.
In April 2007, the first pumping station part of the project was inaugurated.
In March 2006, a restructuring program was made, putting the project on track again. The project was previously delayed due to funding problems.
In January 2003, the JV of Black & Veatch and Thames Water Aqua International was awarded the EPC contract on a 27.5 year concession term BOT basis.

Construction of two major pump stations, 22 minor pump stations, 200 km of piping and related facilities to connect 75,000 households and businesses (12,500 plots) to the sewerage network.
