Background Reem DevelopersReem DevelopersLoading... plans to build Rawdhat Abu Dhabi, a mixed use development near the old Abu Dhabi airport.

The project is the first "develop to lease" community in the UAE. It includes residential, commercial, leisure and entertainment facilities.

The project will spread over an area of 280,000 sq. m. and will comprises of 76 plots divided to 3 residence types: Mediterranean, Modern and traditional. Reem DevelopersReem DevelopersLoading... will develop 6 out of the 76 plots while the rest is developed by private investors.

The project will be built in two phases. Phase 1 includes 17 commercial developments and 44 residential developments. Phase 2 comprises of commercial developments.

Ewan Architectural and Engineering Consultancy are the master plan consultant and Hyder ConsultingHyder ConsultingLoading... is the infrastructure consultant.

In July 2008, the infrastructure contract was awarded to National Projects and Construction (NPC).

In 2007, the master plan was completed by Ewan Architectural and Engineering Consultancy.
