Kuwait's Ministry of Public Works plans to build the Jaber Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah hospital south of Surra, Kuwait.
The hospital will be built on a 270,000 sq.m. area and will include 1,200 beds.
Gulf ConsultGulf Consult and Langdon Wilson is the design consultant.

In October 2009, the main construction contract (including MEP works) was awarded to the JV of Kuwait Arab Contractors Company and Osman Ahmed Osman and Company.
In July 2009, bids were submitted for the main construction contract. The JV of Kuwait Arab Contractors Company and Osman Ahmed Osman and Company was the lowest bidder.
In Q2 2009, the ITB for the construction contract was re-issued.
In the end of February 2009, the Ministry of Public Works decided to re-tender the contract to secure lower bids to match the fall in construction prices.
On 5 February 2009, the CTC approved the bids submitted by the JV of Posco Engineering and Construction and Syed Hamid Behbani and Sons.
In January 2009, the construction contract was expected to be awarded (delayed from Q4 2008) but the Ministry decided to re-tender the construction contract because the lowest bids submitted by the JV of the South Korean Posco Engineering and Construction and Syed Hamid Behbani and Sons were still above the Ministry's budget.
On 29 July 2008, bidders submitted their proposals for the construction contract (delayed for the third time from 29 June 2008).
In February 2008, 9 prequalified groups were expected to bid for the construction contract.
In February 2007, bids for the site preparation contract were submitted.
In January 2007, ITB for the site preparation contract was issued. |
