Background SonatrachSonatrachLoading... plans to construct an oil refinery in Tiaret (Hauts Plateaux mountains), in northwest Algeria.

The Tiaret refinery aims at processing Saharan Blend crude oil.

Output of the refinery will include gasoline, gasoil, jet fuel, butane, propane and naphtha.

Jacobs Consultancy and HSBCHSBCLoading... are the feasibility study consultants.

SonatrachSonatrachLoading... carried out the engineering development of the project.
