The Presidential Affairs Department of Abu Dhabi plans to construct a new presidential palace to replace the existing one in Ras Al Akhdar, Abu Dhabi. The project will spread over an area of 220,000 sq.m. and will be constructed over 2 plots and will include the main palace, smaller palaces, and villas. It will be implemented in four packages. Ewan Architectural and Engineering Consultancy is the architect, WSPWSP is the engineering consultant, and RW ArmstrongRW Armstrong is the PMC. |

In the end of July 2010, the construction contract was awarded to Consolidated Contractors CompanyConsolidated Contractors Company (CCC) and the enabling works were in progress. In 2 May 2010, bids for the construction contracts were submitted (delayed from 21 February 2010). 8 October 2009 was the deadline to submit pre qualification bids for the main construction contract. In September 2009, selected companies were invited to prequalify for the main construction contract. In 2009, the enabling and piling works started by Dutch Foundation CompanyDutch Foundation Company . In Q3 2008, the PMC contract was awarded to RW ArmstrongRW Armstrong .
