In December 2005, Chiyoda CorporationChiyoda Corporation and TechnipTechnip France Joint Venture (CTJV) was awarded the USD 4 billion EPC contract for the two LNG trains with a nameplate capacity of 7.8 million t/y each for the Qatargas-3 and Qatargas-4 LNG projects.

Construction of liquefied natural gas (LNG) train including civil, mechanical electrical, instrumentation works and other related facilities.
Financing Source
Royal Bank of Scotland is the financial adviser.
The estimated amount of financing raised for the project is USD 4 billion.
On 26 July 2007, Qatar Liquefied Gas Company Limited IVQatar Liquefied Gas Company Limited IV signed agreements securing loans and letters of credit to finance the Qatargas 4Qatargas 4 LNG project. The financing consists of different facilities provided by 30 international, regional and Qatari banks. It also includes co-financing facility provided by a wholly-owned subsidiary of ShellShell. All the facilities have a maturity of 15.5 years.
