Background Al Khafji Joint OperationsAl Khafji Joint OperationsLoading... (KJOKJOLoading...) plans to construct associated gas facilities at Al Hout oilfield located in the Divided Zone between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

The project will help recover the associated gas which is being flared and comprises the construction of offshore and onshore processing facilities in addition to pipelines.

This project is part of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait's plan to increase the divided zone's overall production to 900,000 bpd by 2030.

Engineering works started for both packages.

In Q4 2014, the project is expected to be completed.
Previous Events In January 2012, bids for EPC contracts for the onshore and offshore packages were under evaluation.

On 12 July 2011, the PMS contract was awarded to PenspenPenspenLoading... (the contract is part of a 5-year service contract).

In April 2011, the ITB for the EPC contracts for the onshore and offshore packages were issued.

In Q4 2010, the FEED study was completed.
Scope of Work Construction of associated gas facilities including:

Onshore Package:
- Crude and gas treatment plant
- Gas and NGL collection and distribution facilities
- Associated gas facilities

Offshore Package:
- Demolishing and replacement of some existing offshore platforms
- Laying of a 50 Km pipeline and monitoring stations
