| Background |
Abu Dhabi Oil Refining CompanyAbu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (TakreerTakreer ) plans to build a tank farm in Hamriya Free Zone, Sharjah UAE. This package is the first package of the Hamriya Fuel Storage and aims at storing the increasing quantities of oil and gas products, including jet fuel, diesel, gasoline and fuel oil. The project will serve as a supply hub for service stations in Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al-Quwain and central parts of the UAE. Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for DistributionAbu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution was originally developing the project before it was taken over by TakreerTakreer . TebodinTebodin is the EPCM and the FEED study consultant. |

In March 2012, engineering works was ongoing. In November 2011, engineering works started. In September 2011, TakreerTakreer was in negotiations with SinopecSinopec regarding the project's scope and schedule. On 18 April 2011, the EPC contract was awarded to SinopecSinopec . On 23 January 2011, commercial bids for the EPC contract were re-submitted. SinopecSinopec submitted the lowest bid. On 6 December 2010, technical bids for the EPC contract were re-submitted. In November 2010, the FEED study was completed. On 7 September 2010, the ITB for the EPC contract was re-issued (delayed from August 2010). In June 2010, TakreerTakreer invited companies to submit their EOI's for the EPC contract. In the beginning of Q2 2010, TakreerTakreer took over the project from Adnoc DistributionAdnoc Distribution . In January 2010, the EPC tender was cancelled. AdnocAdnoc wanted to perform more detailed engineering design work to avoid any confusion related to scope and cost. By the end of December 2009, the EPC contract was initially expected to be awarded (delayed from September 2009). C.A.T. GroupC.A.T. Group and Al Jaber Energy ServicesAl Jaber Energy Services were the preferred bidders. In September 2009, bids for the EPC contract were re-submitted. In June 2009, commercial bids for the EPC contract were submitted. In March 2009, technical bids for the EPC contract were submitted. In January 2008, pre-qualification applications for the EPC contract were submitted. In November 2006, the EPCM and the FEED study contracts were awarded to TebodinTebodin . |
