| Background |
Yanbu National Petrochemicals Company (YansabYansab ) plans to construct a 400,000 t/y High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plant in Yanbu Industrial City, Saudi Arabia.
The project is part of YansabYansab Olefins Complex , which includes construction of a polyethylene unit, a propylene unit, an ethylene glycol facility, a linear low density polyethylene unit, a polypropylene unit and a High Density Polyethtylene unit.
Basell is the technology provider for the HDPE plant.
UHDE GmbHUHDE GmbH is the FEED consultant.
Foster WheelerFoster Wheeler is the PMC for the whole project. |

| Financing Source |
In June 2006, USD 1,700 million commercial financing agreement was signed by YansabYansab on a 12 year borrowing agreement with a group of 19 mandate lead arrangers (MLA).
Italy's Sace and UK's Export Credit Guarantee Department (ECGD) will provide USD 700 million coverage for the Export Credit Agency (ECGD). USD 4,000 million is contributed by the Public Investment FundPublic Investment Fund.
