Musanada plans to develop South of Shamkha, a mixed development located 30 km south of Abu Dhabi Island. The project will cover a 43 million sq. m. area and will comprise 43 neighborhoods including 10,000 villas, parks, shopping and retail outlets, mosques, hospitals, clinics, health clubs, schools, and entertainment areas. Once completed, the development will house 200,000 residents. KEO International ConsultantsKEO International Consultants is the master plan consultant and Idroesse is the detailed design consultant and PMC. |

In December 2011, the infrastructure consultancy contract for section 3 was awarded to Mott Macdonald and the infrastructure works started. In March 2011, the 4 infrastructure contracts were awarded to Saif Bin DarwishSaif Bin Darwish , the Joint Venture of Al-Rajhi Construction and China State Construction Engineering Corporation, Tristar Engineering and Construction and Ghantoot Transport and General Contracting. In May 2010, the government decided to transfer the ownership of all the ADCHS projects to Musanada and KEO International was no more involved in the project. On 24 March 2010, bids for the infrastructure contracts were submitted (delayed from February 2010). In January 2010, the ITB for the infrastructure contracts was issued. In Q3 2008, the detailed design started. In Q1 2008, the conceptual design of the master plan was completed. In November 2006, the design contract was awarded to KEO International ConsultantsKEO International Consultants . |
