Saudi Railway CompanySaudi Railway Company (SARSAR) plans to construct Jubail Railway in Saudi Arabia.
The project includes the construction of a railway from Ras Al Khair to Jubail Industrial City.
The project will be implemented in two phases. Phase 1 includes an 85 Km railway between Ras al Khair and Dammam and phase 2 includes a 125 Km railway between Dammam and Jubail.

In March 2011, Saudi Railway CompanySaudi Railway Company signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Royal Commission for Jubail and YanbuRoyal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu to develop the project in one phase. Previously, RCJYRCJY was expected to develop the project in 2 phases. The first phase of the project will stretch over 195km and will focus on the present Jubail I industrial cluster; while the second phase will join the new minerals railway and a planned railway line in Dammam.
In Q1 2011, the preliminary design was completed. |
