Bahrain Bay is a residential, business, and commercial development constructed by Bahrain Bay Development off the northeastern shore of Manama, Bahrain. The USD 2.5 billion community will be an island connected by 2 bridges that form an inner harbor. The project will be executed in three phases. Phase 1 includes land reclamation of a 430,000 sq. m. area and infrastructure works. Phase 2 includes the construction of anchor developments (Four Seasons Hotel and ArcapitaArcapita headquarter). Phase 3 includes the construction of other developments (such as CapitaLand Raffles City). Skidmore Owings and Merrill (SOM) is the master planner, Atkins is the consultant, and Turner Construction International is the PMC. |

In Q4 2010, the ArcapitaArcapita headquarter, infrastructure works and Ajmer/Mayfair housing project are expected to be completed(delayed from Q1 2010). In 2012, Raffles City is expected to be completed. In Q4 2012, the project is expected to be completed. |

In May 2008, Australia's Multiplex was awarded the foundations contract for the Four Seasons Hotel. In January 2008, Ahmed Mansoor Al Aali (AMA) was awarded the USD 22 million Design Build (DB) infrastructure contract. In December 2007, Salhia Real Estate CompanySalhia Real Estate Company (SREC) signed the land purchase agreement to develop a USD 125 million commercial and retail tower in the same district as ArcapitaArcapita headquarters and Raffles City. In March 2007, ArcapitaArcapita signed the LOI with Ajmera Group and Myfair Housing to develop a USD 150 million housing project in Bahrain Bay; and the joint venture of Murray & Roberts and Nass Contracting was awarded the USD160 million construction contract for the ArcapitaArcapita headquarters. In May 2006, Netherlands' Royal Boskalis WestminsterRoyal Boskalis Westminster was awarded the dredging and land reclamation contract . Works were completed in 2007. In May 2006, CapitaLand signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop the USD 600 million Raffles City. |

Dredging of a 2.5 million sq. m. area. and land reclamation of a 430,000 sq. m. area. Infrastructure works including a 6 km road network, water network, sewage network, a 4.5 km storm drainage (4.5 km), irrigation water network, a 5 km telecommunication network, and 4 bridges that connect key components of the project and Manama shore. Development of the following: - Zone 1: South Marina, water residences, and Yacht Club - Zone 2: Hotel Residential South Green Park (consisting of a hotel, 2 residential towers, and South Green Park) - Zone 3: Ocean Front West Coast Community (consisting of residential units, recreational spaces, plazas, bridges, and small-boat marina) - Zone 4: Canal Townhouses - Zone 5: Gate Tower (an office tower) - Zone 6: Ocean Front North Coast Community (a residential neighborhood) - Zone 7: North Tower (an office tower) - Raffles City: Apartments, villas, retail outlets, restaurants, and residences (230,000 sq. m. built-up area) - ArcapitaArcapita 's headquarter (18,000 sq. m. of office space) - Four Seasons Hotel: (220 rooms and 285 m high tower) |
