| Background |
TECOMTECOM plans to develop Dubai Studio CityDubai Studio City a commercial development that caters to the film, TV, radio and broadcasting industries on Dubailand, Dubai.
The project will spread over an area of 2 million sq.m and will include 14 sound stages, 18 boutique studios and commercial offices. 330,000 sq.m will be allocated for back-lot outdoor shooting. The city will also have residential areas, cinema complexes and a film academy.
The project will be developed in 3 phases. Phase I includes construction of the boutique studios, 3 sound stages, 4 office buildings, a 15- storey tower, a retail area, a warehouse and a workshop. Phase II includes the construction of the commercial and residential complexes, the remaining sound studios, cinema complex and film academy.
HOKHOK is the master plan consultant for phase 1 and Maunsell Cansult is the design consultant and Al Hashemi is the architect conusltant. |

Construction of a 2 million sq.m. commercial development including:
Phase I: construction of 18 boutique studios, four 6-storey office buildings, a 15-storey tower, a retail area, a warehouse and workshop.
Phase II: construction of a commercial complex that includes 2 buildings (6,874 sq.m. each) and a tower (18,023 sq.m.) and the construction of residential complexes, sound studios, a cinema complex and a film academy.
Installation of communication equipments and related facilities.
Construction of Infrastructure that include, road, water, telecommunication and electrical networks. |
