In February 2009, SEWASEWA put the project on hold, giving priority to the Wasit power station conversion project. Before the project was put on hold, the EPC execution was expected to start in Q1 2009 and the project was expected to be completed in Q3 2010.
In July 2008, the EPC contract was awarded to the consortium of SNC Lavalin and General Electric. SEWASEWA issued a letter of intent to the consortium of SNC Lavalin and General Electric.
On 24 January 2008, bidders submitted their proposals for the EPC contract.
In January 2008, the ITB for the EPC contract was issued. |
