Zakum Development CompanyZakum Development Company (ZadcoZadco ) plans to develop phase 1 of its upper zakum full field development project in Abu Dhabi. The project includes the construction of offshore pipelines and cables to connect new production facilities on four artificial islands and the existing satellite platforms with central onshore facilities. Phase 1 aims to increase the capacity by 100,000 bpd of oil and the overall development aims to increase production capacity from 550,000 to 750,000 bpd by improving oil recovery at the field. TechnipTechnip is the FEED study consultant. |

On 16 May 2011, technical bids for the EPC contract were submitted. In the beginning of May 2011, companies were pre-qualified for the EPC contract and the ITB was issued. In January 2011, the EOIs for the EPC contract were submitted. In December 2010, the FEED study was ongoing. In October 2010, pre-qualification documents for the EPC contract were submitted.
