The Hajj Terminal expansion will be developed in 2 phases.

The Hajj Terminal will accommodate around 4 million pilgrims on average each year.

Aéroports de Paris International (ADPI) will carry out studies and provide technical support.

Previous Events In Q4 2008, construction of phase 1 was completed.

In 2007, Saudi Bin Ladin was awarded the BOT contract for a period of 15 years.
Scope of Work Phase 1: Reconstruction of 32,000 sq.m. of a terminal, renovation of part of the Plaza (64,000 sq.m.) and construction of 3 new units.

Phase 2: Increase the air-conditioned area from 28,000 sq. m. to 85,000 sq. m. and the area of the facilities from 20,000 sq.m. to 40,000 sq. m. and construction of 2 new units.

Installation of concrete load centers, replacement of chilled water systems, construction of cooling towers.
Financing Source In Q4 2007, Bank Al Jazira, IDB and Credit Swisse provided financing for the project for the amount of USD 200 million.

IFC was appointed ad legal adviser.
Towers & Hamlins was appointed as financial adviser.
