BawadiBawadi , a member of TatweerTatweer , plans to build a community development in Dubailand. The project will cover an area of 13 million sq. m. and 10 Km length. The project will include 51 hotels, a shopping mall covering 4 million sq.m, entertainment and convention facilities. The main hotels among others include: the Asia-Asia Hotel , the world's largest hotel, with 6,500 rooms, the Pirates Cove Hotel and Resorts with 800 rooms, the Sand Dunes Hotel, the Desert Gate Hotels & Resorts, the Wahat Alkuttab Hotels, the Desert Beach Hotel & Resort, the Land of Arabia Hotels & Resorts, the Wild Wild West Hotels, the Africa World Hotels, the Europa Hotels & Resorts. The development will have its own monorail system which will be connected to the planned Dubai Metro Blue line running along Emirates Road. In 2008, the project was put on hold. In May 2008, the master plan was completed. In May 2007, BawadiBawadi announced that it doubled its initial investment to USD 54.5 billion and increased the number of hotels from 31 to 51, with total number of rooms increasing from 29,000 to 60,000. In February 2007, the initial road work on the 10 km long Al Quadra Roads was completed. In June 2006, the PMC contract was awarded to Hill InternationalHill International . |

| Financing Source |
BawadiBawadi , member of TatweerTatweer will provide USD 22 billion of the investment required for the project (USD 8 billion will be spent on developing 12 hotels and USD 2.7 billion will be used for infrastructure). Emaar will contribute USD 1 billion in cash to the joint venture with BawadiBawadi along the project construction period to finance the project build. Further financing will be from the private sector in the region and from international institutions. |
