Kuwait Oil Company (KOC)Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) plans to build a new booster station (BS 171) in West of Kuwait. The project will increase the gas handling capacity. Gas will come from gathering centers GC 17, GC 27, GC 28 and GC 16. Fluor is the PMC of the project. |

In May 2011, Saipem signed a USD 10 million deal with Prysmian Cables & Systems to supply hydrocarbon resistant instrumentation and signalling cables. In April 2011, construction of the booster station was ongoing. On 19 January 2011, the Civil work sub-contract was awarded to HeiscoHeisco . Construction works started. In September 2010, site preparation and engineering work started. In August 2010, the construction sub-contract was awarded to Kharafi NationalKharafi National . On 18 June 2010, the EPC contract was awarded to Saipem. On 10 February 2010, bids for the EPC contract were opened. On 9 February 2010, proposals for the EPC contract were submitted. On 12 August 2009, the ITB for the EPC contract was issued. |

Construction of a booster station including: - 3 identical two stage compressor trains Jan (LP & HP), including gas & condensate dehydration trains. Each train will be capable of processing 125 cu.ft./d of sour gas - inter-connecting pipelines including a manned Mid-Stream Slug Catcher facility - one TV compressor with capacity of 6 cu.ft/d at GC 27 - one TV compressor capacity 8 cu.ft/d as spare at GC 28 |
