| Background |
Zakum Development CompanyZakum Development Company (ZADCOZADCO) plans to implement the east area development 8276 (Topside Modification) project as part of the Upper Zakum Field development project in Abu Dhabi.
The program was previously known as EWAD (East West Area Development) project, now known as the 750 project, aims to increase the production capacity in the East and West areas of Upper Zakum.
The EWAD project was previously divided to 3 East projects and 5 West projects. The scope was changed and the remaining packages of the EWAD project are now under the 750 project.
The 750 project consists of construction of artificial islands that will be used as drilling and production sites instead of the steel platforms for cost efficiency purposes.
