| Background |
Occidental MukhaiznaOccidental Mukhaizna plans to develop its Occidental MukhaiznaOccidental Mukhaizna EOR project at the Mukhaizna oil field in Oman.
The project consists of two packages: a wastewater recycling & reuse plant package and a central production processing facilities package.
The project aims to increase oil production from 10,000 bpd to 150,000 bpd through thermal injection techniques.
The project is intended to lift high viscosity and low permeability crude and to recover 1 billion barrels of heavy oil from Mukhaizna over the life of the project, from its present estimated reserves of 2 billion barrels.
MEG Worley is the FEED study consultant. |
