Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWADEWA) plans to build Jebel Ali M power and desalination plant in Dubai.
The power plant package is one of two packages of the M co-generation plant.
The M station will be located at DEWADEWA’s existing Jebel Ali complex.
In addition to the construction of the co-generation plant, the overall project includes three 400 kV substations, overhead lines and associated works.
Fichtner Consulting Engineers is the project consultant.
Latest Events
In February 2011, the project was completed (initially expected in Q2 2010).
In December 2006, bidders submitted their proposals for the EPC contract.
In August 2006, DEWADEWA re-tendered the packages for the M station, after it received only one quote for the power package and two for the desalination works.
In September 2005, the PMC contract was awarded to Fichtner Consulting Engineers.
