Oman Wastewater Services Company (OWSC)Oman Wastewater Services Company (OWSC), also known as Haya WaterHaya Water, plans to build a new sewage treatment plant (STP) in Darsait, in Greater Muttrah province.
The purpose of the project is to serve the population of Darsait.
The plant will have a capacity of 50,000 cu.m./d. It will be built in two phases.
The new plant will be OWSC's second sewage treatment plant in Darsait. The first STP has a capacity of 20,000 cu.m./d.
The New Darsait STP is part of the Muscat Wastewater Scheme.

On 19 January 2011, the DBO contract was signed with the consortium of Cadagua and Galfar Engineering and ContractingGalfar Engineering and Contracting.
On 31 October 2010, the DBO contract was awarded to the consortium of Cadagua and Galfar Engineering and ContractingGalfar Engineering and Contracting.
In February 2010, the PMC contract was awarded to KEO International ConsultantsKEO International Consultants.
On 27 January 2010, bidders submitted their proposals for the DBO contract. The bids submission deadline was previously delayed from 28 September 2009, 26 October 2009, 16 November 2009 to 7 December 2009.
On 5 August 2009, the ITB for the DBO contract was issued.
On 27 July 2009, bidders submitted their proposals for the PMC contract. This deadline was extended from 6 July 2009.
In May 2009, the ITB for the PMC contract for the new Darsait STP was issued. |
