| Background |
Qatar Petroleum (QPQP) plans to develop a common cooling seawater system Phase 2 in Ras Laffan Industrial City.
The purpose of the project is to cater for the needs of the LNG trains at Qatargas and RasGas.
The system will supply seawater to the Q power (Ras Laffan B IWPP) to be used for cooling and desalination.
TechnipTechnip carried out basic studies, conceptual designs and FEED for the project. |

In October 2007, bidders submitted their technical bids for the EPC contract. |
