The Ministry of Transport and CommunicationThe Ministry of Transport and Communication plans to construct Al Duqm Airport in Al Wusta, Oman. Al Duqm Airport will be executed in 3 packages. Package 1 includes the construction of roadways and utilities. Package 2 includes the construction of the runways and airfield infrastructure and package 3 involves the construction of the terminal buildings and other buildings on the site. Aeroports de Paris Ingenierie (ADPi) is the PMC. Ibn Khaldun Almadaen Engineering ConsultantsIbn Khaldun Almadaen Engineering Consultants is the supervision and management consultant. Parsons InternationalParsons International is the design consultant. |

On 18 August 2009, the ITB for the construction contract of package 2 was issued. On 11 May 2009, bidders submitted their proposals for the supervision and management consultancy contract. On 3 March 2009, the ITB for the supervision and management consultancy contract was issued. In November 2008, the construction of package 1 started.
