SEOUL--SK Innovation Co. (096770.SE), which owns South Korea's largest oil refiner, SK Energy, expects crude shipments from Iran to resume around September, a spokesman for the company said Friday.
The company is currently negotiating details with related Iranian companies, he said.
Last month, an official at Hyundai Oilbank told Dow Jones Newswires that the company plans to resume Iranian oil imports as early as September.
Hyundai Oilbank and SK Energy imported crude from Iran until EU sanctions cut off insurance services for tankers importing Iranian crude from July.
Seoul has been in talks with Tehran about using Iranian tankers to ship crude instead.
