Tehran, July 27, IRNA - Iran's non-oil exports rose up 21 percent over the past four months compared to figures from the same period last year, according to customs data.

Iran exported some 41.161 million tons of non-oil commodities worth $16.308 billion in the four-month period which shows 36.37 percent increase in terms of weight and 21.11 percent growth in terms of value.

In the mentioned period, Iran also imported 9.958 million tons of commodities valued at $12.865 billion, showing 12.79 percent increase in terms of weight and 7.12 percent growth in terms of value compared to figures in the the preceding period.

Given the amount of imports and exports of the country in the mentioned time, Iran has registered the best performance compared to the past years.

Based on the customs data, petrochemical products were the main Iranian commodities exported over the past four months.

China, UAE, South Korea, Turkey and India were the main destinations for Iranian products.
