Riyadh - The Ministry of Housing said that it aimed to provide housing support for all citizens, including widows, divorcees, orphans and people with limited and low income.

The ministry pointed out that it was working on a number of programs and initiatives such as the Easy Housing program, in addition to an active partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in a manner that conforms to Vision 2030 which stresses the importance of raising ownership rates to enable citizens to get suitable housing at reasonable prices. 

The ministry said that the Easy Housing program came under the National Transformation Program 2020, which aimed to achieve sustainable economic development for all sectors. It started to work on this program in order to provide suitable housing for special cases, such as widows, orphans and divorced women.

The ministry is working on a number of other programs to achieve stability between supply and demand in the housing market and encourage the participation of real estate development companies to increase housing and develop government land. 

The ministry said in a statement that work is underway on the Easy Housing program before its approval from the relevant bodies. It expected that the program will achieve positive results with target sectors, adding that the Ministry of Labor and Social Development has an initiative for widow and orphans which has been approved within the National Transformation Program. The initiative aims to provide housing for these sectors in cooperation with the Ministry of Housing. 

The ministry stated that it is working with nonprofit organizations to coordinate and unify efforts to provide housing for various sections of the community, in a manner that conforms to the Kingdom's 2030 Vision that encourages more partnership with the nonprofit sector form 1 percent to 5 percent of the gross domestic product.
