Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi based International Golden Group (IGG) which was established in 2002 and  specialized in defence and Security Systems by  promoting the business of Military equipment and defence Solutions, will participate this year in IDEX2015 and its CEO said it would be the company's largest participation in this prestigious show.

"It will be our largest participation in IDEX since 2003...about 50 companies from the US, Europe and Asia will be exhibiting within our stand," CEO Fadel Saif Al Kaabi said.

"These companies are our strategic business partners who are among the leading defence firms in the world...IDEX shall be a great opportunity for them to showcase their products and services to armed forces and defense authorities in the MENA region."

He said IGG's role is not confined only to business as it has already decided to enter the field of  System Integration and Manufacturing along with its strategic partners, adding that the company would reveal various initiatives and long term strategies during the five-day IDEX exhibition.

He also said large deals and new partnerships would be announced with some global firms at IDEX and that IGG is seeking to assert its presence and support in IDEX along with other national companies in the UAE.

This year IGG will announce it strategies and initiative for the upcoming 10 years from now.  The plan is to improve the company industrial capabilities by partnering up with the leaders in the defense industry to promote the transfer of technology and know-how to the UAE.  

Furthermore, IGG will go one step further by buying out shares and perform acquisitions to companies practicing business activities in defense with specialized and unique technologies.  Such technologies would cover system integration and niche industries like night vision manufacturing and laser technologies.    

This would imply that IGG will go international with its business activities trying to grasp a market share in the global markets of the defense industry.   

The purpose of all these strategies to improve IGG industrial capabilities in performing System Engineering, development, integration, delivery of local after-sale-service to the UAE and the GCC.

He noted that IDEX has largely developed over the years, with more than 1,100 companies taking part in the Feb 22-26 exhibition.

He expressed thanks for the UAE concerned authorities for their continuous support for this important event, which he said is attracting key defence players from all over the world.

He said UAE companies should use this event to promote their activities and industries and that they should work continuously to compete with other firms worldwide.

He said IGG, through its participation in IDEX over the past years, has succeeded in building strong relations with major world companies in defence and security fields, adding that this has boosted confidence in IGG and given it a good reputation. He added that this has pushed many firms to enter into strategic partnership with IGG for technology and know-how transfer.
