Anthony Hopkins’ long-awaited HBO show Westworld, an adaptation of the 1973 Michael Crichton film, will premiere in the UAE on OSN the same minute as the US on October 3 at 3am.

The show, which will air on OSN Play and OSN On Demand, will also be shown on OSN First HD - Home of HBO at 9pm UAE the same day.

The latest big production from HBO is set in the futuristic Wild West theme park, founded by Dr Robert Ford, played by veteran actor Hopkins. Ed Harris plays villain The Man in Black, while Evan Rachel Wood is a rancher’s daughter who begins to discover that her entire existence is an elaborately constructed lie. James Marsden stars as Teddy Flood, the charming newcomer, and Thandie Newton plays the beautiful and razor-sharp Maeve Millay.

The series was created for television by Jonathan Nolan (Interstellar, The Dark Knight) and Lisa Joy (Pushing Daisies, Burn Notice).

“Building on the incredibly evocative concept of the original film, we wanted to pose the question: If you could be completely immersed in a fantasy, one in which you could do whatever you wanted, would you discover things about yourself that you didn’t want to know?”, Nolan said.
