Al Mansoura, Egypt

Today, Uber announces Al Mansoura as the newest city to join Uber’s growing global network. The announcement comes following Uber proving to be hugely popular in Egypt and across the world. Expanding in Al Mansoura is the first move in Uber’s plan to expand and serve more cities in Egypt.

Currently, Uber is available in Egypt’s 3 key cities; Cairo, Alexandria and now in Al Mansoura. Uber’s innovative technology connects riders with drivers at the touch of a button. Whether you’re heading out with friends, traveling on business, or exploring the city, Uber provides an affordable, safe and reliable way to get across Al Mansoura.

“We are thrilled about this strategic step that corresponds to our goal of connecting cities together and to make it easier for people to move from point A to point B across Egypt,” expressed Abdellatif Waked, General Manager, Uber Egypt. “Egypt is a leading market for Uber and Cairo has been one of our fastest growing cities in Africa and the Middle East. We will continue to untap other cities in Egypt to offer seamless transportation experience to all Egyptians, and create more job opportunities to driver partners across Egypt through our technology, added Waked.

Uber, which started in 2009, is now available in over 580+ cities in over 76 countries spanning six continents. In 2014, Uber successfully launched in Egypt and since then, Uber has been operating in Cairo and Alexandria in addition to UberBoat in Cairo and the occasional Uber pop-ups in El Gouna and the North Coast.

Riders in Mansoura can now download the Uber application and start moving around the city:

1.    Download the Uber app from the App Store or Play Store

2.    Sign up and insert promo code ‘AHLANMANSOURA’ to get up to 35EGP off your next two rides in Mansoura!
