Staff Report Registration for Short+Sweet Dance Dubai, an offshoot of the Short+Sweet festival — where participants perform for only 10 minutes or less — is now open. The event will be held from November 2 to 11 at The Junction, and both amateur and established performers are welcome.

Satyen Babla, the founder of Dans dance academy will act as festival director. An instructor and choreographer, Satyen has taught and personally trained more than 5,000 people for shows, performances and weddings in Dubai and around the world.

Dancers of all ages, ability and styles can participate in the festival. The entries need to be 10 minutes or under. Each routine can be either a solo, duo or team performance. Any institution can enter up to three official entries of any dance styles. Any one dancer can be part of two routines. There will judges and audience voting to shortlist the best 10 to 15 routines who will then move on to the Gala Finals. There are no auditions for the festival.
