JEDDAH: The Saudi Foreign Ministry launched a new strategy to develop Saudi diplomacy as part of the National Transformation Program 2020.

The new plan, which was inaugurated by Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir, is based on noninterference in domestic affairs of other countries, permanent development of management, and creating a vision for international relations.

The ministry seeks to support the national goals in foreign affairs and enhance Saudi diplomacy to serve regional and international security and stability. The ministry's plan aims to activate regional and international partnerships to support the national economy, reflect a good image of the Kingdom, and help citizens who are living abroad, according to a local report.

Sadaqa Fadel, Shoura Council member and international law expert, said the Saudi Foreign Ministry could play a main role to promote investment opportunities within the goals of the Kingdom's vision, which aims to develop the Saudi economy.

Speaking to Arab News, he said the Kingdom will not change its principals of diplomacy. It is known that Kingdom will not interfere in the domestic affairs of other countries, as well as play its role to support regional and international security and stability. However, the Saudi Foreign Ministry is more interested in enhancing international partnerships.
