Dubai: If you missed the last three-day Super Sale in Dubai, don’t despair. The UAE’s bargain hunters will again be treated to another shopping bonanza where retailers across the malls will be offering huge discounts on a wide array of merchandise, and this time, the sales will last six weeks.

Running from July 1 to August 12, 2017, the 20th edition of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) will offer UAE residents and visitors a series of retail promotions that don’t just feature the best bargains and deals, but the chance to bring home prizes as well.

Retailers are expected to offer up to 75 per cent discount, according to organisers of DSS, a regular fixture in the emirate's retail calendar.

The event is organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), the same government agency that was behind the mega shopping frenzy that offered up to 90 per cent discount on a wide array of brands across the malls in Dubai this month.

“Thousands of retail outlets will reward visitors with special offers and discounts of up to 75 per cent,” the organisers of DSS said in a statement.“This year’s DSS is also the time for families to make the most of their summer, with a range of entertainment including Arabic concerts, Modhesh World, the region’s most popular family indoor edutainment centre, and a variety of cartoon character performances and world-class shows taking place at malls across the city.”
