ABU DHABI, 29th September, 2015 (WAM)-- Masdar, Abu Dhabi?s renewable energy company, officially announced its participation as a Sustainability Partner at the annual POWER-GEN Middle East Conference and Exhibition, PGME, alongside the UAE?s Ministry of Energy, as a key exhibitor.

The region?s premier conference and exhibition for all aspects of the power generation industry is set to take place from 4th-6th October at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, ADNEC.

Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy, will formally launch the conference and exhibition with an official ribbon cutting ceremony. Nigel Blackaby, Director of Conferences, PennWell Corporation, will be giving the introduction and opening remarks.

Over a period of three days, PGME is set to address crucial technical and strategic issues affecting the region?s power generation industry, both conventional and renewable sectors. With a list of joint open ceremony speakers including Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Jamila Youssef Matar, Director of Energy Management at the League of Arab States, Egypt, and Glenn Ensor, Managing Director of PennWell International Power Group, UK, visitors will be able to experience first-hand an unprecedented and comprehensive showcase of the latest services and technologies and benefit from unrivalled networking and business opportunities.

The UAE?s Ministry of Energy, with support from key regional organisations including the League of Arab States, has officially announced the hosting of the 8th Exhibition of Electrical Industries in the Arab World, EEIAW, under the theme 'Minimise Energy, Maximise Energy Efficiency', following a recent partnership with PennWell Corporation. Taking place in the UAE for the first time, the event will be co-located with the 13th annual POWER-GEN Middle East Conference and Exhibition.

Further focusing on the region, the 8th EEIAW event will discuss the role of the League of Arab States based on the Arab Strategy for Renewable Energy, and on Schemes for Upgrading the Efficiency of Electric Power and Rationalisation. An interactive workshop hosted by the Ministry of Energy, will also be held on in conjunction with the exhibition and conference. The workshop will gather leading industry experts from the energy sector in Arab countries to discuss topics including ??Electrical Equipment Market in the Arab World and Promising Investment opportunities.??
